Part 3 – Italy

Italy is a really nice country, with fresh air and breathtaking sceneries. We weaved our way thru the narrow lanes, and cobbled stone piazzas, with occasional fountains and passers by whistling at Eve. Wafts of freshly baked pizzas and pastas hot from the oven invaded our nostrils, and we finally succumbed to our hunger, and had a break at the open air coffee shop, me sipping my latte while Eve had her hot lemon tea.

Rummaging thru my chat lines with Yvonne, I found that she mentioned an Italian once told her that he lost his heart to her, but she laughed the whole matter off, as countless guys have told her the same old lines. Man, they should be more creative.
I suggested to Eve that we pursue this link, and after countless hours of going thru Yvonne’s contacts, we managed to narrow down 2 Italians who may be connected to Yvonne.

We decided to pay a visit to them first thing next morning, and called it a day.

The white-washed walls and wooden door of Mr. Donko’s house looked just like in the fairy tales. Our knocking was opened by a big, burly and hairy chested man.
“Si ?” He eyed us suspiciously and queried.
We explained our purpose before he grudgingly allowed us in.
After exchanging of name cards, he explained that he just got married, and is planning for his honeymoon. Not wanting to disturb him further, we bade our farewell and moved on to the next house.

Mr. Marco is a moustached man, with sparkling eyes that seemed to talk. After the formalities, he listened to our story patiently while pouring tea for us. Unfortunately, he too, was not in contact with Yvonne for quite some time, and couldn’t offer us any further clues.

Driving back to our hotel, I let out a dejected sigh, while Eve just giggled.
“What? “ I looked at her quizzically.
“Hehe…let you know later…” she replied with a wink.

Note : Si = yes (in Italian)

To be continued….
